Located on the West Coast of the United States at the tip of the San Francisco Peninsula, San Francisco contains mountainous terrain and several islands. It is the only consolidated city-county in California with 7.15 million people including San Jose and Oakland, it is the second-most densely populated large city in the United States with a density of about 17,179 people per square mile (6,632 people per km2).

Other of the most important attraction of San Francisco is the Alcatraz Island, once a maximum security prison called Rock in the Bay home of the America's most dangerous criminals. In 1986, Alcatraz became a national recreation area receiving the title of a National Historic Landmark.

Nowadays it is very popular and has a guided tour during the day or night, and you could also hear audios with voices of guards and prisoners. Alcatraz has been a theme for many films, TV shows, cartoons, books, comics, and games. Out of all the Michael Bay films, the acclaimed director's favorite film is none other than The Rock. The Rock was filmed on Alcatraz island and it featured Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage.
