WAX MUSEUM
The Wax museum of Fisherman Wharf opened its doors in 1963 and the building was refurbished in 2000. The museum hosts more than 275 figures and sculptures of the most famous and important personalities at world. The building is divided in 4 parts, the gallery of stars where you can find the figures of the most famous stars of music, science, film like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, The second room is the corridor of history where the figures of the most important personalities oh world history are present like Hitler or Napoleon. ITALO AMERICANO MUSEUM
The Italo Americano Museum has a principal mission, preserve the heritage of American Italian people to future generations, in this way, many art expositions, languages classes, cultural programs, films, festivals inter alia. The Italo Americano museum is the first museum in the United State in show and maintains the heritage of Italian people who lived and live in America, specially, in San Francisco. The museum was opened in 1978. The objectives of the museum is investigate, collect and display works of artists of Italian people who live in San Francisco, besides the museum promote educational, art and Italian culture programs.
KIMBALL NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
The museum is called Californian Academy of Science, too. It is one of the highest museums of natural history around the world. The building is located in Golden Gate Park and this building was remodeled in 2008. Besides, the public zones of the establishment are divided in 3 zones: the Steinhart Aquarium which occupies most of the basement area with a four-story dome emulates a tropical jungle; the other zone is Morrison Planetarium where astronomic exhibitions are showed and finally the African Pavilion with a Foucault pendulum.
